We walk the site within 24 to 48 hours, identify the structures or vegetation coming down, flag any asbestos, services, or boundary issues, and confirm the disposal plan. Fixed quote follows.
We will not pull the trigger on any demo until permits are sighted, asbestos clearance is in hand if relevant, and power, gas, water and telco are properly disconnected. We point you to the right surveyor and utilities.
On day one we install temporary fencing or barriers, position the float and machine, run a Dial Before You Dig check, and walk through the SWMS with the crew. Adjacent properties are protected, exclusion zones marked.
The excavator works the structure down or strips the block of vegetation, slabs and rubble. Rock breaker attached for hard concrete or rock seams. Spoil and rubble feed direct to the tandem tipper for cartage off-site.

Asbestos sheeting, eaves, or floor tiles must be removed by a licensed removalist before our crew starts. The cost of that scope is separate from the demolition itself and reflects the disposal pathway it requires.
Open access for a 20T excavator and tipper is the cheapest scenario. Heritage neighbours, party walls, or zero-lot-line builds need slower, more careful work plus temporary protection. We quote the protection in.
Cubic metres of waste cart-off, recycling fees, and tip-site distance all factor in. Concrete and brick can often be recycled cheaper than going to landfill, which we plan for where the structure allows.

We do not remove asbestos in-house. If asbestos is identified during quoting we coordinate a licensed removalist before our demolition crew starts, so the site is clean and compliant when our machines arrive. Clearance certificates are kept on file.
Most demolition works in Victoria require a Building Permit and may also need council Report and Consent. Apollo can advise on what your job needs and can refer a building surveyor if you do not have one. Permits are the owner's responsibility, but we will not start work without sighting them.
Yes. We run rock breaker hammer attachments across the fleet for hard rock, basalt, and reinforced concrete. The hammer is more cost-effective than chasing the same job with bucket teeth, especially on slabs, footings, and rock seams in the dig area.
Yes. Our tandem tippers cart the broken material, soil, vegetation, and rubbish to the nearest accepting tip or recycling facility. Tipping fees are itemised on every quote so you see the disposal cost upfront.
Shed, carport, or fence demolition usually runs a half to a full day on site. Pool demolitions take one to two days depending on size and access. Full house demolition is typically a two to four day program once disconnections and asbestos clearance are complete.
Disconnect power, gas, water, and any telco services to the structure (we can point you to the right utilities). Clear belongings from the building. Provide site access and any required permits. Apollo handles set-out, safety control, demo, and clean-up from there.
